THE LA PATA EXTENSION HEAT IS ON

Residents and city officials of San Juan Capistrano lare pushing for the extension of La Pata to stay on track following efforts by San Clemente to reroute the alignment farther from homes.
The La Pata extension is expected to divert around 2,000 to 3,000 cars a day from Ortega Highway, according to a study conducted by San Juan Capistrano officials in 2002.
