Doo-Wah Riders headline city’s July 18 summer concert
Full Description:
San Juan Summer Nites’ July 18 concert is sure to make you want to kick up your heels and hit the dance floor to the tunes of country western headliners the Doo-Wah Riders.
The popular band kicks off the second city-sponsored event of the year at Historic Town Center Park, 31852 El Camino Real.
For more than two decades, the Doo-Wah Riders have been sharing their musical flair with folks throughout the west. The band dubs itself as “high energy country with a Cajun twist.” They have appeared in concert with renown artists from Garth Brooks, George Straight and Faith Hill to Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, the Judds and K.D. Lang.
San Juan Summer Nites Concert and business expo is held the third Wednesday of June, July, August and September beginning at 6 p.m. Admission is free.
Each concert features local restaurants and a Shop & Dine Expo with up to 35 San Juan Capistrano businesses selling products and offering giveaways. A children’s area includes a free bounce house and activities. Visitors are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to the events. No pets are allowed.
For information about the events and for businesses interested in participating in the San Juan Summer Nites concert series, call the city’s Community Services Department at 493-5911.
